Willo’thewisp Could Be Out Of Reach Today

The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h40

Eight races are scheduled at Turffontein this afternoon.

KZN based jockey Keagan de Melo makes his way to Gauteng and he has a full book of rides, a few of which have a decent chance of winning.

The first race is due off at 12h55.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Stuart Pettigrew saddles Castletown in Race 2.

He was not disgraced when finishing 1.8 lengths behind the winner in the Gr 2 Golden Horseshoe last time.

It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Silvano looks to have class and should be too good for this field.

Willo’thewisp from the Paul Matchett stable takes his place in Race 5. His last three starts against stronger company have been decent.

It must be noted that the form of his last outing has been franked.

The 5yo gelding takes a drop in class and with a bit of luck from his awkward draw, he should return to winning ways.

Brian Nyawo will not be riding today due to family responsibilities.

Julius Mariba will not be riding as his license has not been renewed.

The false rail is at 2m on the back straight to 5,5m on the bend with a 5,5m spur at the 700m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h55
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h30
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 14h05
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h40
  • The second Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 15h15

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
