Spies Could Reign Supreme In BSA Sales Race

The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 14h00

Nine races are scheduled for Turffontein Racecourse this afternoon.

There are two Sales races on the day, the Non Black-Type BSA Sales Cup for fillies and the Non Black-Type Sales Cup for colts and geldings.

The first race is due off at 12h20.

Supreme Quest will be saddled by Corne Spies  in Race 6 today(Pic- Candiese Lenferna)

Supreme Quest from the Corne Spies yard is the best bet on the card and is the likely Pick 6 banker.

She was unlucky not to have won the Grade 1 Thekwini Stakes last time as her pilot dropped his rein in the latter stages. She was super impressive when winning her penultimate effort over 1300m at Hollywoodbets Greyville.

She has won once and finished third once from as many starts on this course. If this run has not come too soon, she should be the one to beat.

Sean Tarry saddles Senescence in the lucky last race. She ran a decent race when finishing third over 1800m on the Vaal Classic course last time.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has won once, finished second once and third once from four starts over this distance.

She is likely to be switched off at the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

The false rail is at zero on the back straight and bend with a 2m spur at the 700m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h50
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third race at 13h25
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 14h00
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h35
  • The second Jackpot starts in the sixth race at 15h10

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
