Solomons Stood Down

The first Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h45

Nine races are scheduled to take place on the Inside course at Turffontein this afternoon.

The first race is due off at 12h30 and the lucky last is set to take place at 17h05.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Lucky Houdalakis sends out Castle Durrow in Race 3. She ran a good race when finishing second against much stronger company last time.

The manner in which she finished off her race that day suggests that she will be at home over today’s distance. She won her only attempt on this course.

The daughter of Global View takes a big drop in class and should return to winning ways.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Candice Dawson saddles Stone Cold in Race 4. He is much better than his last start in KZN as he was reported to be changing strides by the jockey.

He has won once and finished second once from three starts over this distance.

He returns to Handicap company this afternoon and from his mid-field draw, he may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

Apprentice Joshwin Solomons has a broken ankle and thus does not ride today.

He has been replaced as follows:
