Paul Peter Looks For 100th Winner Today

The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h50

A ten-race programme is scheduled at Turffontein this afternoon.

The main event is the Gr1 HSH Princess Charlene Empress Club Stakes.

Trainer Paul Peter, who has already saddled 99 winners this season, sends out a host of runners today and will be looking to add to that tally.

The first race is due off at 12h15.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Summer Pudding takes her place in Race 7 the HSH Princess Charlene Empress Club Stakes.

She was ultra-impressive when winning the Grade 2 Colorado King Stakes last time.

The daughter of Silvano is unbeaten from eight starts on this course. She is the class horse in this contest and should take a power of beating.

South East represents decent each way value in Race 5. He showed good signs of a form return in his comeback run over this distance at the Vaal.

The son of Captain Of All won his only attempt over this course and distance.

He takes a drop in class today and should strip a much fitter horse. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Gabriel Pieterse which should help his chances.

The false rail is 3m on the back straight to 7m on the bend with a 7m spur at the 700m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h50
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third race at 13h20
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 13h50
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h20
  • The second Jackpot starts in the seventh race at 15h30
