Jimmy The Rich writes that Got The Greenlight from the Joey Soma yard takes his place in the Gr1 H F Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes. He produced a cracking comeback run when finishing second in the Gr 2 Hawaii Stakes last time.

He challenged strongly all the way to the line that day, but found one too good in the form of MK’s Pride.

He has won twice, finished second once and third once from six starts on this course. The son of Gimmethegreenlight should strip fitter this afternoon and will take a power of beating.

After saddling two winners at the Vaal on Thursday, trainer Paul Peter sends out The Contractor in Race 3.

He ran a decent race when finishing third in the Non-Black Type Gold Rush Sprint last time. That was his first start with the blinkers fitted and the headgear remains on today.

He makes his stable debut and takes a drop-in class. If settled into his new surroundings, he should return to winning ways.

The false rail is zero on the back straight to 5m on the bend with a 5m spur at the 700m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h30
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third race at 13h00
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 13h35
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h10
  • The second Jackpot starts in the seventh race at 15h20

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
