Ennion’s Hamlet – To Be…

The Bipot starts in the first at 13h15

Kenilworth is alongside Turffontein this afternoon and eight races are carded.

Grant van Niekerk has a full book of rides this afternoon and may be the jockey to follow with a few decent chances of winning.

The first race is due off at 13h15.

Jimmy The Rich writes that trainer Piet Steyn sends out Gem King in Race 4 and he is the Pick 6 banker on the card. He produced a promising debut effort over this course and distance, five weeks ago.

He received a bump at the start, but the manner in which he finished off his race caught the eye. He found betting support that day which suggests that he had been showing good work back at home.

The son of Master Of My Fate would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should win with ease.

Hamlet from the Greg Ennion yard takes his place in Race 6. He finished 0.75 lengths behind Lord Marmite in his last start.

He is 5kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He jumps from pole position and at the weights, he may be the one to cause the upset.

The winter course false rail is 2m out from 1700m with a 5m spur at the 470m mark. The start is forward of zero by 2m.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h15
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h50
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h25
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h00
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h35

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
