Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h20

A small eight-race programme is set to take place at Kenilworth this afternoon.

Jockeys Keagan de Melo, Aldo Domeyer and Richard Fourie all have a decent book of rides and could be the men to follow.

The first race is due off at 13h35.

Benjamin from the Candice Bass-Robinson stable takes his place in Race 3.

He showed good improvement in his last start over this course and distance with the blinkers fitted. He was reported to be distressed that day which makes the effort that much more encouraging.

The son of What A Winter should strip much fitter today and in this type of field, he should take a power of beating.

Dean Kannemeyer saddles Old Tawny in Race 8. He has produced three fair efforts to date. The son of Where’s That Tiger is crying out for the mile.

He is having his second run after the gelding and from his good draw of three, he may be the one to cause the upset.

The summer course false rail is 1m out from the 1800m mark with a 3m spur at the 600m mark. The start is forward of zero by 3m.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h35
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 14h10
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h45
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h20
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h55

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
