Kenilworth – Follow The Top Jocks Today

The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h30

Kenilworth is now the stand alone local meeting after the postponement of the Turffontein Guineas day meeting.

Jockeys Aldo Domeyer, Richard Fourie and Grant van Niekerk all have a full book of rides and may be the men to follow.

They are all riding at the top of their game which will make things more interesting.

The first race is due off at 13h20.

High Moon from the Candice Bass-Robinson stable is the best bet on the card. He has finished second in his last four starts under today’s pilot Aldo Domeyer.

He had to be steadied at the 800m mark last time, but the manner in which he fought to the line was encouraging.

The son of Silvano should have no issues with the drop in trip and with a bit of luck in running, he should take a power of beating.

Quickstep Lady represents some decent each way value in Race 5. She finished 1 length behind Alfred’s Girl in her last start.

She is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this distance.

The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade will be staying on strongly at the business end.

The summer course false rail is in its original position with a 4m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h20
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h55
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h30
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h08
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h48

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
