A Legitimate Pick 6 Banker

The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h30

A tough and competitive card is hosted in the Mother City at Kenilworth today and includes the running of the Laisserfaire Stakes (Listed), Woolavington Stakes (Listed) and Cape Mile (Non – Black Type).

The first race on the card starts at 13h20 and the lucky last will close off proceedings at 17h25

Bobby Bean writes that the Adam Marcus stable send out Hello Winter Hello who competes in the sixth race, the Listed Laisserfaire Stakes.

This talented daughter of What A Winter produced a good last effort.

She was slow into stride that day but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish was really encouraging.

She is 1kg better off at the weights with Phil’s Dancer on her penultimate run and must be respected, as she is also a three-time winner at Kenilworth.

The Dean Kannemeyer camp sends out Legitimate who runs in Race 8. The great-looking son of Dynasty made a fair local debut in the Western Cape.

He unfortunately took a bump as the starting stalls opened that day but the manner in which he finished off is race was promising.

The way he races suggests that he will be at home over the extra distance. He jumps from an inside barrier today and with the expected natural improvement, he should take a power of beating.

He has cheek pieces fitted for today’s race.

Racing is on the winter course, with the false rail set at 3m out from the 1700m, with a 4m spur at the 470m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h20
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h55
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h30
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h05

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
