SA Commentators – What’s Happening?

Clyde and Nico were excellent when they stepped in

This Racing Industry really puzzles me.  Who is at the head?

Vivian Mansour, a longstanding Sporting Post contributor, writes in the SP Mailbag.

So Alistair Cohen gets a call up to Dubai and Gauteng, the biggest province sits with ONE Race caller.

Now Brandon Bailey takes over and ALL the good guys sit on the fence.

Brandon Bailey – overworked?

Western Cape, who can barely run a race meeting have THREE, KZN has TWO with Graeme Hawkins as a back up, and yet Gauteng must do Mauritius, Fairview and local races?

Surely Gauteng must appoint TWO MORE COMMENTATORS e.g. Nico and Clyde!!.

They were excellent on Saturday helping out!

Or am I wrong?

ONE hard working commentator must just manage!

Bad, bad business decision WITH  a country so full of unemployment.

Ed – there has been no official announcement as regards who is taking over from the departed Alistair Cohen.
