Fox Flying Ridgemont Flag With Pride

Horse Of The Year nominee

Ridgemont Highlands’ top-class sprinter Run Fox Run is fondly remembered by SA racing fans as a real turf burner and the announcement that she is a nominee in the 2020 South Australian Thoroughbred Breeders Horse Of The Year is a real feather in the cap for the champion Cape-based nursery.

Brilliant speedster – Run Fox Run (Pic – Chase Liebenberg)

Trained by Brett Crawford and bred by Mill Park, Sam Scaffidi and Harry Perks, the lightning-fast daughter of Foxwedge won eight of just 11 starts – never out of the first four – for earnings of R1 140 350.

In the process she accounted for eight Gr1 winners including Celtic Sea, subsequent Equus Champion Rio Querari, Tempting Fate, Kasimir and Russet Air.

Arguably one of the fastest fillies in the world during her track career, she was recently covered by Juddmonte superstar Frankel.

The awards will be held on 29 January 2022 at the SAJC Morphettville.
