Barry Irwin, a regular contributor to the Sporting Post website, has a runner at Royal Ascot on Thursday who looks worth an each-way punt.
Over the years, Barry has made some shrewd thoroughbred purchases and his latest is a two year-old named Bright Devil.
After Andrew Balding’s colt had run out an impressive win at Newmarket, he and Gary Barber stepped in and bought the son of Dark Angel.
The colt runs in Thursday’s Chesham Stakes off at 16h00 (SA Time).
Dave Mollett gave us the heads up and asked Barry if he could recommend support of his new purchase to the former – but not now employed – Tellytrack UK tipster.
“Barry was as economical with his words as Horatio Kane in CSI Miami. ‘He looks nice for sure’,” was his answer recalls Molly.
If Bright Devil goes missing, Molly will be looking to recoup losses on Friday on Tim Easterby’s runner, Art Power. Sylvester De Souza is booked to ride
