Royal Ascot 2021 got underway on Tuesday with 9628 badges and tickets allocated across the Royal Enclosure, Queen Anne Enclosure and hospitality options.
Compliance with the pre-event testing requirements was exemplary and guests were able to enter the racecourse without hold ups.
Over the week, 49 319 badges and tickets have been allocated: 8 404 for Wesnesday 9 774, on Thursday 10 524, on Friday and 10 989 on Saturday.
Owners each day are expected to be around 1000 depending on final field sizes, based on prior years, and are included in this figure.
Nick Smith, Director of Racing and Public Affairs at Ascot, said:
“We are very pleased with a figure just short of 50,000. Guests are enjoying a welcome return to Royal Ascot and we are delighted to be staging this government test event, which will assist in opening up sport to larger crowds going forwards.”
