Roll A Lucky Dyce Today

First is off at 12h05

Turffontein Racecourse plays host to a nine-race programme this afternoon.

The main event of the day is the Listed War Of Athena Handicap over 1800m.

The first is due off at 12h05, with the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge closing five minutes before that.

Dyce from the Lucky Houdalakis stable takes his place in Race 6 and he is the best bet on the programme.

He is a winner of his last three starts. He showed good speed in the Gr3 New Turf Carriers Merchants last time and was geared down.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

The son of William Longsword is the class horse in this contest and should take a power of beating.

Trainer Sean Tarry sends out Let’s Go Now in Race 7. She ran a good race when third in the Grade 3 Betway Fillies Mile.

She raced from a handy position and stayed on at the finish.

It must be noted that Gimme A Nother has come out and won again since. The way she finishes off her races suggests that she will love the rise to 1800m.

She is the best weighted runner in this contest and can return to winning ways.
