Roberts’ Lord Edward On Right Track Today

First is off at 12h45

The new week starts off today on the Easter Monday public holiday with a seven-race programme on the polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville this afternoon.

The free to play Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge and the first is due off at 12h35.

Lord Edward from the Michael Roberts stable takes his place in Race 2.

He showed good signs of a form return in his last start over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

He cast a shoe in running that day which didn’t help his chances.

He has won once, finished second once and third once from six starts over this course and distance.

Rachel Venniker retains the ride and, in this field, he can return to winning ways.

Trainer Carl Hewitson saddles Majorca Palace in Race 3. He returns from a lengthy 32-week break which would have done him the world of good.

He is much better than his last two starts suggest. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from eight starts over this course and distance. The 5yo gelding takes a drop-in class and if not in need of the run, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
