The Riverton Stud bred Rocket Let Win, who raced under the name of Potent Power in South Africa, made it two wins from his last three starts in Hong Kong when successful at Happy Valley on Wednesday.

Partnered by Vincent Cheminaud, the six-year-old gelding drew off to register a two length win in the Great George Handicap-despite conceding 11lb to runner up Fabio.
Rocket Let Win has now won three times and earned over HK$1,700 000 in stakes since being exported to Hong Kong.
One of ten local G1 winners for his sire National Emblem, Potent Power was a top class 2yo in South Africa, where his three wins included the G1 Gold Medallion at Scottsville.
Rocket Let Win’s dam Solar Galleon (Captain Al) is currently safely in foal to European champion Twice Over, but sadly had a lovely Blue Tiger two-year-old filly, who unfortunately had to be put down after breaking both her front legs.
Solar Galleon, also the dam of the useful four time winner Solar Triptych, also has a lovely Judpot foal (described as a very, nice strong foal by Natasha Barry). Unfortunately she does not have a yearling this year.
Breeders Riverton Stud are represented at both the Cape Premier Yearling Sale and next month’s Val De Vie Yearling Sale. The farm’s sole offering at the Premier Sale is a colt by highly successful sire Count Dubois (whose progeny include champions Asylum Seeker and French Navy). This colt, whose dam is a half sister to the dam of ill-fated G1 Paddock Stakes winner Emerald Cove, is a half brother to 3 winners including the smart stakes performer Alpha Pegasi.
Riverton’s four strong draft at Val De Vie include a colt from the first South African crop of dual champion and millionaire Marchfield (Lot 66), and an Ashaawes full sister to the very useful Assegai and half sister to stakes winner Sheikitupbaby (Lot 68).
