Popular racing television presenter Deez Dayanand topped the 2024 Hollywoodbets Durban July Racing Stars Punters’ Challenge leaderboard after finding four winners and three places on what was a tricky card.
A fun competition launched in 2022, and hosted periodically within the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge platform for South Africa’s racing presenters, personalities, commentators and journalists, the Racing Stars pits the faces and voices of racing against each other.

Deez topped the Racing Stars leaderboard and finished 306th overall on a day in which a record 28 957 players participated in the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge, which offered prizes in excess of R20 million.
He finished with 157.49 points, well ahead of second-placed Tony Mincione (151.96) and third-placed Vicky Minott (150.47).
Former Tellytrack star Shaheen Shaw hit them hard on the day, finishing fourth while Rahiel Radhakrishna rounded out the top five with a points haul of 141.92.
