Real Gone Kid Is Flying

Son of Snitzel burns the turf at Kenilworth

Ridgemont’s emerging top sprinter Real Gone Kid delivered the goods for many thrilled Pick 6 punters when he ran a perfect prep for the Gr1 Cape Flying Championships, registering his sixth career victory at Kenilworth on Saturday.

Facing five opponents, including former Equus Champion Sprinter Kasimir, in the 1000m Pinnacle Stakes, the 4yo son of Snitzel blew them away with his dazzling speed to clock 57,81 secs under a hands and heels ride by Anton Marcus in the 37 degree Cape summer heat.

The goodlooking chestnut started at 2-10 and crowned a happy start to the R6 066 921 carryover boosted Pick 6 pool as a popular banker choice. 5 225 912 Pick 6 combinations went through to the next leg.

The regally bred colt sports a pedigree and an ascending track record which suggests the Kieswetter family’s aspirations of a possible stud career are very exciting indeed.

Real Gone Kid, a winner of 6 of his 10 starts, is a son of four times Australian champion sire Snitzel and is out of the Jet Master sired Equus Champion, and dual Gr1 winner, In The Fast Lane.
