Rachel Can Maintain The Fine Form Today

First due off @ 12h40

Hollywoodbets Scottsville plays host to an eight-race programme this afternoon with the first due off at 12h40 and the lucky last set for 16h45.

The main event of the day is the Non-Black Type River Indigo Handicap run over 1400m.

Sun Blushed from the Michael Roberts stable takes his place in Race 6. He should have finished closer to the winner in the Grade 1 Mercury Sprint last time.

He returns from an 18-week break and makes his seasonal debut. He has won three times, finished second once and third once from six starts over this course and distance.

If not in need of this outing, he should be the one to beat.

Trainer Mark Dixon sends out Captain’s Christy in Race 5. She was not disgraced when fifth in the Listed Betway National Colour Stakes last time.

She finished 0.35 lengths behind Russian Doll in her penultimate run. She is 1kg better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

She is ideally suited to this course and distance and with Rachel Venniker taking the 1.5kgs off her back, she should be competitive.
