The Eastern Cape’s Champion Juvenile of 2010/11 celebrated a winning homecoming when he swept aside his opponents to win the Arlington 1400 on Friday. The son of Windrush was extraordinarily registering a first win at Arlington as he grabbed this non black type feature in superb style.

Since returning to Smith, In A Rush was given his original box back and his old Groom Wellington is also looking after him.
That old familiarity had him brimming with his old fire and enthusiasm on Friday!
After stablemate Dancing Kiwi had done the donkey work out front and ensured a good gallop, Aldo Domeyer rode a pearler as he produced In A Rush at the right moment to win well.
Blaze Of Fire had loomed dangerously at the 200m marker and Domeyer and In A Rush looked to be lucky to run a place. But he dug deep and won a cracker.
In A Rush beat Blaze Of Fire by a half length in a time of 85,52 secs.
The old warrior brave Celtic Fire was a further length back in third.
In A Rush has now won 7 races with 7 places from 19 starts and earnings of R553 827.
He is by Windrush out of the five time winning Chief Warden mare, Sweet Whisper.
Bred by transport baron Peter Choice, Gavin Smith went to R85 000 for him and Choice has retained a share.
