Denis Schwarz and King Regent bid for an entry into the history books today (Pic – Pauline Herman)

Trainer Glen Kotzen’s King Regent will be looking to make history as he takes his place in Race 6 which is the day’s feature.

This son of Dynasty is the winner of the first two legs of the Nelson Mandela Bay Racing Poly Challenge and looks to be the best bet on this programme.

Regular pilot Denis Schwarz retains the ride and Ridegemont-bred King Regent should have no issues with the rise to 1600m on this course.

He is in a good space and can bring up the hat-trick.

Enjoy the replay of King Regent claiming his victory in the 2nd leg of the Poly Challenge:

Colorama from the Tara Laing stable may be the horse to close off the meeting. She stayed on when 3.35 lengths behind Flower Festival over 1400m last time.

The daughter of Captain Of All has dropped to a competitive rating and the Tara Laing stable is in hot form.

Chase Maujean retains the ride and with luck from her awkward draw of eight, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
