Today: R3 Million Pick 6 Projected At Turffontein

First due off @ 12h20

A nine-race programme has been carded for the Turffontein Inside course today.

There is a R500 000 Pick 6 carryover with a likely pool of R3 million. The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 14h05!

There are two feature races on the card – the Listed Betway Spring Spree Stakes and the Betway Non-Black Type The Lady’s Stakes.

Fiery Pegasus from the Joe Soma stable should give punters a good start to the day. She ran on powerfully when winning her last start over 1400m on the Standside course.

It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She was not disgraced when seventh in the Grade 1 Allan Robertson Championship in her penultimate run.

The daughter of Captain Of All has class about her and she should take a power of beating.

Trainer Weichong Marwing sends out American Biscuit in Race 5. He finished 0.05 lengths behind Safe Space last time.

He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

The 5yo gelding is a versatile type and with Piere Strydom retaining the ride, he should be the one to beat.

Diego De Gouveia (medically indisposed)
