Bobby Bean writes that he caught the eye on debut at long odds when finishing behind Invincabelle, who has won again since.

The son of Legislate tries an extra 300m today which should be right up his alley. He does have to overcome the widest draw this afternoon, but he will get all the necessary assistance from the saddle with Grant van Niekerk in the irons.

If not too green, he should be the one they all have to beat.

Windsor Beat lines up in the last race on the card and is currently trading at around 28/10 with Hollywoodbets.

The Adam Marcus trained filly has shown a devastating turn of foot in her last two outings and the way she races suggests that she will be picking off the frontrunners in the run down to the wire.

The daughter of Querari was beaten by On Captain’s Side in her last start, but now meets her conqueror on 1.5kgs better weight terms which may be enough to turn the tables.

The racing is on the winter course with the false rail set at 2m out from the 1700m with a 5m spur at the 470m.

There is a Pick 6 megapool on to this meeting with a  net carryover of R250 000.  The exotic starts at 13h30 in the third and the pool is estimated at R2 Million.

There is also a net carryover of R50 000 in the Jackpot which gets under way in the fourth at 14h05. The estimated pool is R600 000.

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute.
