Public Holiday Blue Skies Over Hollywoodbets Kenilworth

First off at 12h55

Three weather delayed features have found beautiful sunny skies at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth today, where an eight race programme runs alongside the Hollywoodbets Greyville poly racemeeting up on the East Coast.

The three feature races are the Gr3 WSB Variety Club Mile, Gr3 Champagne Stakes and the Listed WSB Sweet Chestnut Stakes.

The first is due off at 12h55.

Bereave from the Adam Marcus stable takes his place in the Gr3 Champagne Stakes. He ran on powerfully when winning the Gr2 Khaya Stables Diadem Stakes last time.

It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. He has won twice, finished second three times and third once from eight starts over this course and distance. Gavin Lerena retains the ride and he is the horse to beat.

Trainer Glen Kotzen saddles Spywing in Race 4.

She took on males and stronger company in the Non-Black Type Newlands Stakes last time.

Her penultimate run when third over this course and distance was encouraging. Diego De Gouveia takes the ride and if jumping on terms, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
