Prohibited Substance-Marwing Fined R18 000

Admission of guilt signed

The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa confirms a reported Prohibited Substance finding.

The presence of Flumethasone (Class 4) was disclosed upon analysis of a specimen taken from Daring Dash after the running of Race 2, at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on 29 June 2024.

The Trainer responsible, Mr WH Marwing, elected to sign an Admission of Guilt and was fined an amount of R18 000.

Furthermore, Daring Dash is accordingly disqualified from the race in terms of Rule 72.3.2.

This finding is recorded in the NHA Racing Calendar.
