Handicappers opinion

Pistol Pete has had his rating increased to 115 from 113 following his win in the Betway Gr3 Lebelo Sprint over 1 000m at the Turffontein Standside Track on Saturday.

The Handicappers were of the opinion that 3rd place finisher Magic Tattoo was the most suitable line horse to rate this race, leaving his rating unchanged on 105.

Rating the race this way also sees fourth-place finisher Time Fo Orchids running to her mark of 108, effectively making her a line horse as well.

The winner aside, runner up, Nettleton also received a slight increase in her rating, and she went up to 100 from 99.

There were ratings drop for three runners in this race. Taxi To The Moon went down slightly from 107 to 106, while Mover And Shaker and Dantonfromsandton were dropped from 116 to 114 and from 108 to 106 respectively.

4Racing Listed War Of Athena Handicap

Lady Fallon has seen her rating adjusted from 98 to 102 after landing the 4Racing Listed War Of Athena Handicap for fillies and mares over 1 800m at Turffontein racecourse on Saturday.

Here it was 4th placed Elembee who was considered the most suitable line horse to assess this race, leaving her rating unchanged on 84.

There were increases for two more runners in this race. The runner up Sukhumvit went up to 93 from 91 while 3rd place finisher My Soul Mate was increased from 105 to 106.

There were ratings drops for no fewer than six horses following this contest. Littlemarysunshine and Juliet Tango both received two points drops each, from 91 to 89 and from 86 to 84 respectively.

The following horses received drops of one point each. Soldier’s Eye dropped to 97 from 98, while Frozen Fantasy was also reduced from 103 to 102. Furthermore, Donna Mo was dropped to 93 from 94 and lastly My Lady Soul went down to 84 from 85.
