Picture Quality – 4Racing Responds

Format conversion issues

Following inquiries on behalf of viewers by the Sporting Post, 4Racing.TV has noted viewer comments and feedback regarding the standard of the picture quality and intermittent audio issues experienced on Racing 240, since the launch of the channel on DStv Channel 240 on Wednesday 19 January.

In the early days since the channel launch, we are experiencing some format conversion issues on signal delivery through the new infrastructure.

Our international partners and our technical team have identified the problem and are currently working to rectify this and improve picture and audio quality on the channel.

We acknowledge, value and are taking on board all feedback received, with a view to providing the best possible broadcast product for punters, bookmakers and viewers of Channel 240.

This does not affect the Tellytrack channels, which are currently also under our operation.

One of the reasons we launched Racing 240 early, while Tellytrack is still on air, is to continue to ensure punters have an uninterrupted broadcast offering while we iron out any technical issues and take all lessons on board in readiness for Channel 240 to be fully operational once the Tellytrack contract comes to an end.
