The end of couplings in the Pick 6

Couplings were removed from the Pick 6 two years ago and to celebrate the anniversary TAB has allocated carryovers, collectively worth more than R1.5-million, to every meeting in South Africa from this Friday to Wednesday next week.

TAB boss Vee Moodley said: “The numbers do the talking, showing we succeeded in making the Pick 6 horseracing’s dream bet. It used to be the third most popular bet behind the Jackpot and Place Accumulator, but now it’s TAB’s leading exotic bet.”

The details of the carryovers are:

Fairview Friday 4 September: carryover R100 000; estimated pool R750 000

Greyville Friday 4 September: carryover R200 000; estimated pool R1,4 million

Turffontein Saturday 5 September: carryover R400 000; estimated pool R2,1 million

Kenilworth Saturday 5 September: carryover R200 000; estimated pool R1,3 million

Scottsville Sunday 6 September: carryover R300 000; estimated pool R1,9 million

Fairview Monday 7 September: carryover R100 000; estimated pool R750 000

Vaal Tuesday 8 September: carryover R139 855; estimated pool R1,2 million

Durbanville Wednesday 9 September: R100 000; estimated pool R900 000.
