Phumelela Gaming would like to reassure all TAB and Betting World customers, as well as horseracing and soccer fans in general, that it’s business as usual as South African horseracing readies to hopefully resume behind closed doors on 1 June.
The company will honour all financial obligations in terms of its betting operations, notably the credit balances of TAB and Betting World accountholders and TAB carryover monies.
No carryovers have been added to TAB pools since horseracing in South Africa and many other countries was suspended, which virtually coincided with all major soccer leagues coming to a halt.
Having no carryovers since then has been in accordance with TAB’s well-documented policy of maximising carryover monies for the benefit of all customers, which has not been possible with limited product and betting restricted to TAB digital accountholders.
TAB customers, however, can rest assured that carryover monies will be deployed to best effect once South African horseracing restarts and a significant number of TAB retail stores reopen.
As is always the case, such carryovers will be added to applicable pools on suitable events and dates, and will play a big role in reigniting interest in TAB betting pools on horseracing and soccer.
