Philanthropist Gelding Can Mow Them Down Today

First due off @ 12h25

We head over to Fairview Racecourse for today’s local racemeeting with the first on this afternoon’s eight-race programme due off at 12h25.

Trainer Alan Greeff saddles Grazinginthegrass in Race 5 and he is the best bet on the programme.

He received a bump leaving the start last time but stayed on nicely at the finish. He would have come on from that outing and should strip much fitter.

7 of his 13 career victories have come over this distance and he should return to winning ways.

Bridgerton from the Gavin Smith stable represents decent each way value in Race 3.

His last start can be ignored as the jockey looked behind when the gates opened, and he lost two lengths leaving the start.

Jockey Luyolo Mxothwa understandably did not give him a hard ride in the straight. The son of Visionaire is a much better horse when racing on the speed.

If all goes according to plan at the start, he should be involved in the fight to the finish.
