Peter’s Rulership Looks Best Bet Today

First race is off at 12h25

Turffontein runs alongside Hollywoodbets Kenilworth this afternoon and nine races are carded.

There are three feature races including the Grade 3 Betway Lebelo Sprint, Non-Black Type Tab Sophomore 1000 and the Non-Black Type 4Racing Sun Chariot Handicap.

The first is due off at 12h25.

A reminder that the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge closes five minutes before the off of the first!

Rulership from the Tony Peter stable takes his place in Race 7 and he is the best bet on the programme.

He broke the course record when winning his last start over this distance at the Vaal.

He is unbeaten from two starts since joining the Tony Peter stable.

The son of William Longsword meets Grade 3 Company this afternoon. He is in a good space and can notch up the hat-trick.

Trainer Fabian Habib sends out Ice Star in Race 8. She has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings.

It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth in her last start has come out and won since. She finished 0.15 lengths behind Moonshiningthrough in her penultimate run.

She is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today and there should not be much separating the pair in the run down to the line.

Denis Schwarz may be able to coax that little bit extra out of her where it matters most.

  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 14h10
