Peter’s Pride In Good Form

First due off @ 13h05

Today’s local racemeeting takes place at Hollywoodbets Greyville, with an eight-race programme carded for the polytrack this afternoon.

The first is due off at 13h05.

Don’t forget about the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Peter Muscutt sends out Shanta’s Pride in the lucky last. She has good consistent form lines to her credit.

Shanta’s Pride (Richard Fourie) is led in by the Peters family after an earlier win (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was inconvenienced at the 100m mark.

She has finished second three times from as many starts on this course. If not too far out of her ground turning for home, she should return to winning ways.

KZN horse racing commentator Craig Peters named Shanta’s Pride after his children Sheldon, Angelique and Tacita.

Grandi Orecchie from the Gareth van Zyl stable takes her place in Race 3. She showed signs of a form return in her last start over 1750m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

She lost a length leaving the start and stayed on well at the finish.

The daughter of Wylie Hall is unbeaten from two starts on this course and if getting away to a clean start, she should keep that record intact.
