Persistance Can Pay Today

First race due off @ 13h00

Racing is at Kenilworth Racecourse this afternoon.

Richard Fourie has a full book of rides, with a couple of decent winning chances and may be the jockey worth following.

Kindly note that jockey Craig Zackey will not be riding.

The first is due off at 13h00.

Candice Bass-Robinson saddles Canford Lights in Race 3 and he is the best bet on the programme.

He is a good-looking son of Canford Cliffs.

He was unlucky not to have won last time as he was cramped on the rail and unbalanced at the 50m mark.

He is a progressive type and with a bit of luck in running, he should take a power of beating.

Persistance from the Mike Stewart stable takes his place in the lucky last.

He has decent recent form lines to his credit. He showed good speed in his last start over 1100m but was outrun late.

It must be noted that Gem King has come out and won a Grade 3 since.

He gets the services of S’manga Khumalo and may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
