Payout Confusion & Delay – TAB Apologises

Retail customers must lodge claims

TAB apologises to customers for the confusion and delay surrounding payouts for Race 6 at Redcliffe in Australia on Monday, which arose from a miscommunication to host tote Tabcorp and resulted in no pools on the race being commingled.

Initial official payouts declared were Tabcorp dividends, barring the Quartet for which the Tabcorp Quinella was displayed in error.

Local dividends should have been declared for Swinger, Trifecta and Quartet pools, which necessitated later changing all payouts to dividends based solely on bets taken by TAB with the exception of the Rolling Double for which the Tabcorp payout was retained.

This resulted in increased payouts for Swingers (1×2 from R3.20 to R3.90; 1×7 from R2.50 to R11.70), the Trifecta (R7.10 to R34.10), the Quartet (R3.90 to R421.30) and the Place on No 1 (R1.50 to R1.60).

All retail customers who cashed winning bets for the lesser amounts can lodge claims for the balance with TAB Customer Care or at a TAB. Accountholder balances have been automatically adjusted.
