No Local Racing On Monday – So Let’s Enjoy Today

First is off at 12h30

With no local racing rostered for Monday, we will be enjoying what we are being served up today at Hollywoodbets Greyville this afternoon where eight races are carded on the turf track.

Don’t forget about the free to play Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge and the first is due off at 12h30.

The revamped free-to-enter Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge was relaunched on Wednesday, with new prize payouts formulae.

The popular competition is also now available on all local race meetings, as well as Hong Kong and Singapore!

Besides the R5 000 must-be-won prize which is allocated to the top 20 finishers on the leaderboard for every challenge race meeting, the all-or-nothing 100% clean sheet jackpot prize will now be determined by the number of runners at the race meeting multiplied by R10 000 per unit, for all venues.

For example, there are currently 76 starters on the Hollywoodbets Greyville programme today, and at R10 000 per starter, the jackpot prize will be R760 000.

A new innovation is that all players wagering a minimum of R50 on the programmatically generated Bet Slip generated after your entries are captured, will have their prospective winning payout, doubled! So, the jackpot suddenly doubles to R 1 520 000!

Approachable Lass from the Lorenzo Karriem stable takes her place in Race 6.

She has finished second in all three of her career efforts to date. She had to overcome the widest draw over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, was settled at the rear of the field and finished her race off strongly.

The daughter of  What A Winter will be at home over the mile. She has cracked a good draw of three and should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

Trainer Gareth van Zyl saddles Princekresh in Race 5. He showed some signs of a form return in his last start over this distance on the polytrack.

The son of What A Winter won his only attempt over this course and distance. He takes a drop-in class and if confirming his recent improvement, he is capable of winning a race of this nature.

Please note that Kabelo Matsunyane is not riding today.
