The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 21 September 2016, Trainer D Howells was charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.18 in that at an inspection of his stables at Ashburton on 11 August 2016, he had on his premises medications, the prescriptions of which had exceeded 30 days.
Trainer Howells pleaded guilty to the charge.
The Inquiry Board found Trainer Howells guilty and fined him R2000.
Trainer Howells has the right of appeal against the penalty.
