Jockey Webber has the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed

National Horseracing AuthorityThe National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa confirms that at an Inquiry held in Port Elizabeth on 17 September 2015, Jockey E Webber was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference and constitute a source of danger to IRISH HALL (T Gould) whilst riding LORD KELLY in Race 8 at Fairview Racecourse on 7 September 2015.

Jockey Webber pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Inquiry Board found Jockey Webber guilty and after considering statements which were made post race by Jockey Webber regarding the interference, the Inquiry Board imposed a suspension from riding in races for a period of 21 days.

Jockey Webber has the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed.
