NHA: Veale Suspended

Waived his right of appeal

National Horseracing AuthorityThe National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 27 September 2016, Jockey S Veale was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of MY PAL AL in Race 3 at the Greyville Racecourse on 18 September 2016, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to runners on his inside at approximately the 1200 metre mark.

 Jockey Veale pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Inquiry Board, after considering the evidence, found Jockey Veale guilty and imposed a suspension from riding in races for a period of seven days.

Jockey Veale waived his right of appeal and is suspended from 3 October 2016 to 9 October 2016, both dates inclusive.
