Has the Right of Appeal against both the finding and the penalty imposed

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Cape Town on 12 July 2016, Jockey Robert Khathi was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of SIGN YOUR NAME, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to IRISH GREY (AUS) and ON THAT NOTE at about the 250m mark when he shifted in during the running of Race 2, at Kenilworth Racecourse on 9 July 2016.

Jockey Khathi pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Inquiry Board found Jockey Khathi guilty of the charge and suspended him from riding in races for a period of 7 days.

Jockey Khathi has the Right of Appeal against both the finding and the penalty imposed.
