NHA: Zechner Gets Warning

He has the Right of Appeal against the finding and the penalty imposed

At an Inquiry held in Port Elizabeth on 11 January 2016, Jockey Karl Zechner was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of CAPTAIN ON THE RUN, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to VILLA DEL LARGO and SWIFT WONDER approaching the 300m mark in Race 6 run at Fairview Racecourse on 4 December 2015.

Mr Zechner pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Inquiry Board found Mr Zechner guilty of the charge and imposed a penalty of a warning.

Mr Zechner has the Right of Appeal against the finding and the penalty imposed.
