Justin Snaith – withdrawal symptoms

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held at its offices at Kenilworth Racecourse, Cape Town on Wednesday 23 December 2015, Trainer Justin Snaith, on behalf of Snaith Racing, was charged with a contravention of Rule 72.1.3 read with 72.1.3.1 in that he, without a proper or acceptable reason, attempted to withdraw ENTRECHAT from Race 5 at Kenilworth Racecourse on Wednesday 11 November 2015.

Mr Snaith pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Inquiry Board found Mr Snaith guilty of the charge and considered all relevant facts and circumstances and imposed a penalty of a R2 000.00 fine,  R1 000.00 of which is wholly suspended for one year, on condition he is not found guilty of a similar offence within such period.

Mr Snaith has the right of appeal against the penalty imposed.
