The National Horseracing Authority confirms that on 29 October 2015, Mr Lyle Anderson, the Chief Stipendiary Steward : Central Provinces and Jockey Piere Strydom appeared before the Commissioner of the Small Claims Court on account of a summons which was issued in respect of an alleged civil claim resulting from Mr Strydom’s ride on the horse DUBLIN REBEL at the Turffontein Racecourse on 27 August 2015.

After hearing the evidence of the Plaintiff, the National Horseracing Authority and Jockey Strydom, the Commissioner held that the Plaintiff could not sustain a cause of action in this matter.

Accordingly, an order of absolution from the instance was made.
