The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa confirms that at an Inquiry held in Cape Town on 16 September 2015, Jockey D Dillon was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3, in that he failed to ride CAPTAIN SWAROVSKI out to the end of the race and thereby he prejudiced his chances of obtaining 4th place in Race 6 at Durbanville on 9 September 2015.

Mr Dillon pleaded guilty to the charge.

After considering all the facts relevant to this matter, the Inquiry Board accepted Mr Dillon’s plea, found him guilty as charged, and suspended him from riding in races for a period of 10 (ten) days.

Mr Dillon was given the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed.
