The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Cape Town on 29 October 2015, Jockey Donavan Mansour was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of CHISANYAMA, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to NORDIC WIND when he shifted in at about the 1400m mark in Race 7 at the Durbanville Racecourse on 17 October 2015.

Mr Mansour pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Inquiry Board, after considering the evidence, found Mr Mansour guilty and he was suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days.

Mr Mansour has the right of appeal against both the finding and the penalty.
