4Racing has advised that the Turffontein race meeting originally scheduled for Sunday 23 February has been postponed to Monday 24 February.
Following a track inspection this afternoon, it was found that certain sections of the track are inconsistent and waterlogged.
“We are confident that, provided there is no further rainfall, the meeting will proceed on Monday.However, it is important to note that the Inside Track at Turffontein and the Vaal Classic track have drained more effectively than the Standside Track. In the event of additional rainfall tomorrow, an alternative option could be to move the meeting to one of these tracks on Monday,” said a 4Racing spokesman.
New race times will be disseminated asap.
