Newsflash: PGI Connectivity Issues

Players please take note

Results, payouts and displays on Wednesday’s Kempton and Parx race meetings, as well as the second Soccer 4 pool of the evening, were all affected by technical problems with the PGI tote betting system, which lost connectivity with the TAB system.

PGI programmers had not managed to resolve the issues by the end of the Kempton meeting and it was then decided to exclude all PGI bets from the Kempton Place Accumulator pool, which diminished by some R10,000 as a result.

PGI was also excluded from all Quartet pools on the Kempton meeting from Race 4 onwards.

Races 1 and 2 on the Parx meeting were commingled with USA pools, but all bets on the remaining races were refunded because it was not possible to commingle.

The Place Accumulator payout on Parx was determined by the results of the first two races with the field (all choices) having to apply in the other legs in which all bets were refunded.

The loss of connectivity made it impossible to display the final pool total of the second Soccer 4 (S4 V1 P2) pool.
