2024 People’s Turf PLC International Jockeys’ Challenge

In a dream start to the 2024 People’s Turf PLC International Jockeys’ Challenge in Mauritius on Saturday, SA jockey Jason Gates won the opening race of the two day challenge.

Riding a confident race on Gordonstoun for the Raj Ramdin yard, Jason won the PTP Mamayoul Fan Club contest over 1365m.

“I am very excited. That was a great start. What an amazing crowd and atmosphere! Thanks to Devon Habib, his Dad, and to Derreck David for the emotional support and encouragement. I really appreciate it. I hope I can get a few more winners,” added a thrilled Gates.
