Durbanville going is soft

Winter refuses to let Cape Town out of its clutches and rain and cold weather has continued to plague  the Mother City.

While it is partly cloudy at the moment (09h10) and more rain is forecast, the nine race Durbanville programme goes ahead today. The first race is scheduled for 12h30. Only 3mm of rain has fallen in the last 24 hours, while 25mm  has been recorded in the past 7 days.

The track going has been officially declared as soft, with a pen average of 27. The false rail is set at 2m. Enjoy it and good punting!
