Native Tongue Can Do The Talking

First race off at 12h35

Racing takes place on the turf at Fairview Racecourse this afternoon and eight races are carded.

There are three feature races including the Non-Black Type Fairview Mile, Non-Black Type Lakeside Handicap and the Non-Black Type Fairview Merchants.

The first is due off at 12h35.

The visiting stable of Justin Snaith saddles Native Tongue in Race 5 which is the Non-Black Type Fairview Mile. He has not finished too far off the winner in recent outings.

He was far from disgraced when finishing fifth behind Hoedspruit in the Grade 2 Glorious Goodwood Premier Trophy last time.

The son of Master Of My Fate has won once and finished second twice from seven starts over this distance. From pole position, he is the horse to beat.

Winter Scout from the Glen Kotzen stable takes her place in Race 4. She ran a good race when finishing third over 1700m at Kenilworth last time.

The daughter of What A Winter won her only attempt over this distance. She jumps from pole position and if suited to the right-hand turn, she should have a good winning chance.

  • The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h35
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h05
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h35
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h15
  • The second Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h55
