Everyone knows that there’s a full brother to international hero J J The Jet Plane on offer, and that his sire Jet Master is as unstoppable as ever.

Everyone knows that Trippi is riding crest of the wave in America, with Graded winners galore, and that if ever there was a time to sell Trippi yearlings it is now.

Everyone knows that competition for buying yearlings by these and other top sires (everyone knows who they are) will be fierce.

Buyer’s market? Better think again.

So much for conventional wisdom.
Much more interesting are the things not everyone knows. Or overlooks in the internationally fuelled euphoria.

Such as the full brother to multiple Gr1 winner and Champion 3yo Kings Gambit. The full sister to Champion 3yo Big City Life. The full brother to Oaks Trial winner Ilha Grande, out of champion racemare Ilha da Vitoria. The 3-part sister to J J The Jet Plane (in addition to the full brother). The full brother to Gold Cup winner Desert Links.

Half siblings to US (and local) Gr1 winner Gypsy’s Warning, to J&B Met winner Past Master, to Champion sprinter (and now sire) Rebel King, to Champion sprinter Mythical Flight, to Champion 2yo Carnadore, to Champion filly Icy Air, to Champion filly Texan Summer, and multiple Gr1 winner Smart Banker. Half siblings to Gr1 fillies Geepee S, Gilded Minaret, Fair Maiden, Spice Gold, All Afire, and a full sister to Little Miss Magic. And a half brother to multiple Gr1 winner Hunting Tower, still going strong in Dubai at the age of eight.

Then there’s the fact that there are 37 yearlings from the Cape Sale who re-appear here, fifteen of them as ‘not sold’ with reserves of R200k or less – all highly affordable, in other words.

Or the fact that there are yearlings by successful Graded stakes producing sires from abroad – think Elusive Quality, Oratorio, and the ‘Rock’.

The fact that there are newly imported mares, with yearlings who have fully ‘foreign’ female lines.

And the startling fact that on the list of 2009 National sale graduates (current 3yo’s) with the highest Merit Ratings, it is sire Count duBois who has the equal-most representatives (shared with Captain Al), and also the second highest rated one (Count Express, MR 107), as well as the highest priced one (Roman Wall, at R2 million; he has a half brother on the 2011 sale by Western Winter). Bet you’d never guessed that. Nor that the highest rated one (MR 108) is Guineas runner-up Run For It (he has a full brother on the sale).

In a nutshell, there’s much, much more to this year’s National Sale than meets the eye. The message is ‘look beyond the obvious’.

KAREL MIEDEMA helps you on the way, with a sire-by-sire summary.

online catalogue: www.tba.co.za

Al Maher (Danehill)

Gr1 Australian Guineas winning miler, by Danehill (and not, as the catalogue shows, by Riverman). His dam is a half sister to the dam of Australian champion sire Redoute’s Choice (also by Danehill). Al Maher’s highest earning Australian performer is Bigelow, a Gr2 placed miler whose dam is a full sister to last July’s Gr2 Gold Vase placed Royal Captive (by Royal Academy).

Unraced New Zealand bred (403) Shadyside (Vice Regal) is dam of seven winners. They include two stakes winning middle distance staying geldings, one a Gr1 placed Gr2 winner by Zabeel, the other a Gr3 placed Gr3 winner by Catbird. Her yearling is a filly.

Albert Hall (Danehill)

This Gr1 placed Gr2 winning miler is South Africa’s leading freshman sire at time of writing. He’s from the sire-producing female line of evergreen Dynaformer & others. He might benefit from lines of Hail To Reason and Seeking The Gold in his mares.

It’s not just Hail To Reason, but a 3×3 double of Hail To Reason stallion Roberto in the colt out of  (21) Chatterley (Al Mufti). The mare is full sister to Gr1 winner Lady Brompton (dam of champion King’s Gambit), and comes from the potent Soho Secret female line. The yearling colt is half brother to Gr3 placed 2yo winner Air Pocket – by Jet Master whose lines of Hail to Reason include a Roberto sister. All this is interesting especially because 4th dam Secret Landing is close kin to Hail To Reason. One to note.

One female line where Al Mufti has worked big-time is the one of (74) Eastern Trade (Al Mufti). This mare is full sister to champion Arabian Lass, to Gr1 placed Graded winner Prairie Breeze and Princely Affair, and to the dam of Gr1 winner Smart Banker. The yearling colt, inbred 3×3 to Roberto, is the mare’s second foal.

Al Mufti is present again, this time as broodmare sire of 5-time winning sprinter (64) Divine (Kabool). The mare is half sister to Gr1 winner Divine Jury and two other stakes horses, their dam multiple Gr1 placed sprinter Divine Nymph. The yearling filly is a second foal.

Lightly raced (393) Sara’s Promise (Rambo Dancer) is half sister to SA Oaks winning sisters Royal Prophecy and Noble Destiny, as well as to the dams of Gr1 performers Gypsy’s Warning and Tales Of Bravery – an impressive family. The yearling filly is the mare’s first living foal. Interesting mating, given that Hail To Reason’s sire Turn To (and that one’s dam Source Sucree) is close kin to mares in the bottom female line.

Announce (National Assembly)

By a son of Danzig, out of a mare who’s half sister to the dam of Danehill – that makes Announce quite close kin to the super-sire Danehill. He’s not quite in that class as a stallion, but has sired highclass stakes performers.

Pile it on! That’s the message that comes with the colt out of lightly raced (529) Wise Dancer (Damascus Gate: 7r/3w/1sw). The mare’s sire Damascus Gate is half brother to the dams of Announce (and Danehill), giving kin-breeding 3×3 to Spring Adieu. The mare is full sister to the dam of a Gr3 placed winner, and half sister to two stakes winning fillies (one the dam of Gr1 placed Gr2 winner Royal IQ). The yearling colt offered is half brother to winners by Grey Eminence and Manaloj (who is from the same female line as Announce and Damascus Gate).

Winning miler (90) Escape (Lost Chord) is full sister to Gr2 winner Giorgio, and to five dams of winners, among those Gr1 winner Patchouli Dancer (by Northern Dancer stallion Mistral Dancer). The yearling is half sister to four winners.

From the Sister Sublime female line comes stakes placed 7-time winning sprinter (110) First Love (Mistral Dancer). The mare is the best of her dam’s four winning offspring, all sprinters, their dam a stakes placed winning sprinter of six races. On offer a yearling colt.

NEW! Ashaawes (Kingmambo)

Well received at the first (regional) yearling sales this year, with two six-figure colts. The stallion was himself sold for $2.8 million as a yearling, making him the third most expensive of his year (his two-year younger brother went for a massive $11.7 million). Ashaawes might go well with mares who have Tom Fool clan relatives in their pedigree (Buckpasser, Nijinsky, Blushing Groom).

Stakes winning miler (10) Catchpenny (Freedom Land, dam by Buckpasser) has produced three winners to date, incl Gr3 placed Catchelli (dam of a Gr3 placed winner). She has a yearling half brother on offer.

Five-time winning sprinter (31) Clear Up (Goldkeeper) is full sister to three winners, and three-part sister to multiple stakes winner Mist Of Gold. The mare’s four runners to date are all winners (of 15 races between them), one Gr3 placed. On offer a half brother, inbred 3×3 to Mr Prospector.

Lightly raced 1400m winner (322) On The Rocks (Icelander) is half sister to six winners, which include Gr1 placed Gr2 winner Sovereign Seas. The mare is dam of two multiple winners by Announce and has a half brother to those.

Lightly raced (101) Faithful Promise (Jallad, by Blushing Groom) is full sister to three winners (of 13 races), incl Gr1 placed 2yo Truthofthematter, from a strong female line of precocious performers. She’s dam of a 4-time winner, her only runner to date. On offer a half brother.

Unraced (400) Self-Scented (Jallad, by Blushing Groom) is half sister to four stakes horses, incl Gr1 placed Gr2 winner Black Skimmer. Her yearling is half sister to a multiple winner.

Unraced son of sire of sires Kingmambo, out of a stakes winning half sister to Gr1 winner and sire Aldebaran. He is represented by one yearling from his first crop.

Australian winner (586) Bermuda Junction (Is It True) is daughter of a Gr2 winner down under. She is dam of five winners from a wild variety of sires, and has a yearling half brother to those.

Black Minnaloushe (Storm Cat)

Second local crop of this internationally Gr1 producing sire. He swiftly got off the mark and had a couple of 2yo winners from his first crop at time of writing.

Lightly raced 2yo winner (449) Sugar Almond (Al Mufti) is half sister to Gr1 placed Gr3 winning fillies Starlit and Sweet Theresa. The yearling colt is a first foal. Also represented is Sugar Almond’s twice winning dam (461) Sweet Antonia (The Prime Minister) – her yearling colt is half brother to three graded stakes performers.

Winning sprinter (235) Larks Land (Badger Land) is a full sister to Gr3 placed 1400m winner Blue Acres, who is dam of Cape Derby runner-up Bluemambo. The grandam is half sister to champion fillies Grey Sun and Cerulean Blue, and to the grandam of Cape Derby winner Russian Sage. The yearling colt on offer is half brother to 4-time winners (one stakes placed) by Hanging Road and Manaloj.

Twice winning sprinter (206) Kalina (Caesour) is half sister to five winners out of Gr1 sprint filly Marie Galante. Her yearling colt is half brother to a multiple winner.

Lightly raced winning miler (379) Roman Circus (Caesour) is half sister to Gr2 winner Northern Host, their dam Gr1 placed stakes winner Gran Corredora. The female line is Argentine Gr1. On offer a filly, the dam’s second foal.

Twice winning sprint/miler (35) Complete Journey (Complete Warrior) has made her mark, as dam of 2yo Gr1 winner Geepee S who went on to win six races. Geepe S is by Goldkeeper, whose dam is 3-part sister to Storm Cat (sire of Black Minnaloushe). This is the direct female line of Paddock Stakes winner Luticia. On offer a yearling filly.

Twice winning sprinter (557) Amazon Lily (Complete Warrior) has produced three multiple winners to date, incl Gr1 winning 2yo Villandry. She has a half brother to those. The mare comes from the famous Lily female line, and is half sister to top racemare Geordoba.

From the same female line comes Gr3 winning sprinter (55) Day Lily Delight (Cordoba), who is full sister to Gr1 placed Gr3 winner Bilbao. The mare’s only runner to date is stakes placed multiple winner Dragon Lily, who has a yearling half sister here.

American mare (183) Inside Blitz (Defensive Play), a multiple winner in her home country, is half sister to Canadian champion filly Gandria. The mare is dam of two 4-time winners, by Silvano and his sire Lomitas. She has a half brother to those.

Twice winning miler (375) Rippling Star (Fort Wood: 1r) has two runners to date, both winners, incl Gr1 SA Derby placed Rippling Ring (who was exported to the UK at 3). The mare is a daughter of Gr1 placed stakes winning sprinter Studio Star, who is half sister to another Gr1 performer and comes from a Gr1 family. The yearling offered is a filly.

Gr3 placed sprinter (70) Dreaming Gold (Golden Thatch) is full sister to multiple Gr1 winner & sire Goldmark. The mare is dam of a stakes winner, while among her six other winners is a 4-time winning daughter who at stud got Gr2 placed Gr3 winner Two Strikes. The yearling is a filly.

The yearling colt out of four time winning miler (193) Ivory Tower (Goldkeeper) has an interesting pedigree, as Goldkeeper’s dam is a 3-part sister to Storm Cat, the sire of Black Minnaloushe. Equally interesting is the fact that the mare’s own dam is half sister to Gr1 winner and sire National Emblem – the latter damsire of Black Minnaloushe’s winning 2yo Nine Tail Cat, who looks more than useful.

Unraced (512) West Is West (Jungle Warrior) is full sister to Gr1 Cape Derby winner Western Rocket, from a solid female line. The mare has produced four winners to date, incl stakes winner of 8 races Wethreekings. On offer a half brother to those.

Winning miler (396) Scented East (West Man: 1r) is half sister to four stakes horses and to two dams of stakes winners – all out of champion filly Scented Royal. The bottom female line is American. The yearling colt is his dam’s third foal.

Caesour (Nureyev)

South Africa’s leading sire of Gr1 fillies & mares abroad, who deserves a lot more credit than the market generally gives. He comes from a topclass female line and is bound to get interesting daughters at stud. He should be the proverbial value-sire at this sale.

Unraced (275) Middle East (Al Mufti: 11r/6w/2sw) is full sister to Gr1 placed stakes winner Kal Sufi. The yearling filly is half sister to a winner, and bred on a useful sire x broodmare sire cross, also found in Gr1 winner O Caesour.

Four time winning miler (280) Minelli (Elliodor: 14r/10w/1sw) is half sister to Gr1 placed stakes winner Diplomat, a son of Caesour. That makes the yearling colt 3-parts related to that 6-time winner. The youngster is half brother to four winners (of a combined 18 races), inclGr1 placed Val de Ra and stakes winner Mitra. The successful sire x broodmare sire cross can be found in Gr2 sprinter Chant de Nuit. Bred on the same cross is the filly out of unraced (443) State House (Elliodor: 14r/10w/1sw), who is full sister to the dam of Gr1 Fillies Guineas runner-up Tick Tock. The mare also is half sister to two dams of stakes horses, among them Gr1 winner Little Miss Magic. Their dam is Gr1 winner State Treasure. The third yearling from the Caesour x Elliodor cross is a filly out of winning sprinter (563) Antonia’s Love (Elliodor: 14r/10w/1sw). The mare is half sister five stakes horses, two of them voted Champion. Two of the mare’s half sisters have produced stakes winners. The yearling is half sister to two winners, one a stakes placed winner of ten races.

Winning sprinter (481) The Zone (Restructure: 1r/1w) is half sister to Gr3 winner Empress Crown and to Gr2 placed Mighty Atom, their dam a Gr3 winner. The yearling colt is a first foal, bred on a variation of the Caesour x Danehill cross that is in Gr1 filly Dane Julia, because the mare’s sire Restructure is by Danehill.

Captain Al (Al Mufti)

Gr1 winning miler, whose achievements as a stallion are surpassing his race record as the years go by. He’s a worthy successor to his sire Al Mufti.

US Gr1 winner Gypsy’s Warning and local Gr2 winner Surabi have a more modest half sister in (559) Among Royalty (Among Men). The significance is that the trio are themselves out of a once-raced full sister to a pair of SA Oaks winners, Noble Destiny & Royal Prophecy. Interestingly, all of the first four dams on this heavy black-type catalogue page are non-winners. On offer a yearling filly, her dam’s first foal.

From the female line of Captain Al’s champion filly Captain’s Lover comes twice winning miler (230) Land Of Hope (Badger Land: 5r/4w/2sw). The dam of Captain’s Lover is also by Badger Land, making the champion filly and the yearling colt three-parts related. The youngster is half brother to a stakes placed 6-time winner by Jet Master, a relationship not unlike Captain’s Lover and her Jet Master half sister Ebony Flyer. The catalogue rather sadly misses out on all this detail. Then there’s winning miler (197) Jet Maid (Jet Master), who is from the same female line as well. Her colt is a first foal, and intriguingly combines Captain Al with Jet Master.

Also bred on the Captain Al x Badger Land cross is the colt out of Gr2 Natal Oaks winner (447) Studio Fifty Four (Badger Land: 5r/4w/2sw). The mare’s only runner to date is a winner.

Twice winning miler (323) Ondina (Caesour: 3r/2w/1sw) is dam of two 4-time winners and has a yearling half sister to those colts. The mare is half sister to no less than four dams of stakes horses – one of the stakes horses is the Captain Al filly Adorable, a winner of 3 races, out of Dacha (the filly isn’t listed in the catalogue…). The sire x broodmare sire cross is found in Gr1 Paddock Stakes winner Emerald Cove, and also in the filly out of twice winning sprinter (507) Vivacity (Caesour: 3r/2w/1sw), from the female line of champion Senor Santa. The mare’s only runner to date is a winner.

Stakes winning miler (161) Helena (Camden Park) is half sister to the dam of Gr2 winner Greek Warrior. The yearling colt offered is her first foal. The mare’s sire Camden Park is by American champion sire AP Indy, whose dam is a sister to Al Mufti – sire of Captain Al.

Unraced English mare (274) Messila Rose (Darshaan) is half sister to the dam of Australian Gr1 winner Bon Hoffa (by Belong To Me). The mare has been at stud in Europe, and is dam of a stakes placed winner over 2 miles by Lomitas, and of a multiple winner in France by Roberto’s son Red Ransom. She has a yearling colt here.

Three time winning miler (356) Queen Of Rubies (Dominion Royale: 4r/3w/1sw) is dam of 4 winners, incl a multiple Gr3 placed winner and a full full sister to the yearling colt on offer. The mare is half sister to three stakes horses. The sire x broodmare sire cross looks a good one, and is also found in stakes winner Townsend.

Gr1 placed multiple Gr2 & Gr3 winner (398) Secret Of Victoria (Goldkeeper: 1r/1w) is half sister to champion Rabiya and two other stakes winners. The mare has an interesting pedigree, as the dam of her sire Goldkeeper and her damsire Royal Academy are 3-part relatives. There’s an interesting connection also from Captain Al’s pedigree with the mare’s bottom female line, making the youngster one to note.

Here’s a yearling filly whose sire x broodmare cross is still perfect. The youngster is the first foal of winning sprinter (271) Marry For Money (Hard Up: 5r/5w/1sw), who is half sister to Gr3 winner Ethics, their dam in turn a stakes winner of seven races. Bred on the same sire x broodmare sire cross is the filly out of twice winning miler (182) Inner Circle (Hard Up: 5r/5w/1sw). The mare is full sister to champion filly Tatler, and half sister to six other winners from the Gr1 female line of In Camera. The youngster is her first foal.

Unraced (1) Calamint (Jallad: 10r/5w) is full sister to two Gr1 placed stakes winners Lucy’s Lad and Cousin John. The three are 3-part related to Gr1 winner Lyrical Linda, and are half siblings to Cousin Linda (dam of champion sprinter & sire Rebel King) and to a 5-time winner by Captain Al’s sire Al Mufti. The yearling filly offered is the dam’s first foal.

Lightly raced (401) Serengetti (Jallad: 10r/5w) is half sister to Gr1 placed Gr2 winner Natural Selection, their dam a Gr2 placed stakes winner. The mare’s only runner to date is a winner by Wolfhound, the latter a half brother to Captain Al’s sire Al Mufti.

Gr3 placed 4-time winning sprinter (265) Mairingi Bay (Joshua Dancer) is half sister to another stakes placed 2yo winner. She’s from an American female line. Her yearling colt is a second foal.

There are four black type horses under the dam of (455) Sunlight Serenade (Lambent Light: 2r). One of those is herself dam of a stakes winner, while a another is stakes winner of 9 races Melting Moments, by Captain Al. That makes the latter 3-part related to the yearling filly on offer.

Stakes placed 4-time winning miler (297) Muvango (Manshood) is half & full sister to two other winners, their dam a daughter of Gr1 placed Gr2 winner Chinatown. Her yearling filly is a first foal with an intriguing pedigree, because Captain Al’s grandam Infanta and Chinatown are close kin. The filly looks to be very much one to note.

Twice winning miler (135) George Sands (Martinelli) is half sister to a stakes winner, their dam a stakes winning 3-part sister to sire Model Man. The yearling filly is the mare’s second foal.

American winner (296) Murmuration (Miswaki) has an English pedigree background. She’s been at stud in Argentine, and has a winner there as well as in South Africa – the latter is 5-time winning stakes placed filly Muamba, conceived in Argentine. She has a yearling half sister on offer.

Stakes placed sprint/miler (301) Mythical Model (Model Man: 9r/4w) is full sister to Gr1 placed Gr3 winner Model Magic, to Gr3 placed 6-time winner Model Affair, and to another winner of 3 races. Something clicked. On offer is a grey colt, his dam’s first foal.

Five time winning sprinter (18) Chantal (National Assembly: 15r/14w/2sw) is half sister to Seminole, a stakes placed sprinter by Captain Al. Their dam is top filly Lupine Lady (injured before realising her potential). The yearling colt is bred on a successful sire x broodmare sire cross.

Twice winning sprinter (56) Dazzling Diamond (National Assembly: 15r/14w/2sw) is half sister to Gr1 placed Kimberlite, their dam Diamond Rock Gr2 Oaks placed daughter of Gr1 winner State Treasure. Diamond Rock is half sister to the dam of Captain Al’s Gr1 Fillies Guineas runner-up Tick Tock. Another half sister is Gr1 producer Al Nibari, by Captain Al’s sire Al Mufti. On offer an interesting yearling filly, her dam’s second foal.

Lightly raced winning sprinter (127) French Girl (National Assembly: 15r/14w/2sw) is full sister to a 5-time winner, and half sister to the stakes winning dam of Gr1 runner-up Kilcoy Castle. The dam of the trio is She’s a Treat, who was winner & runner-up in two Fillies Guineas.

Gr2 placed 4-time winning sprinter (136) Gia’s Dynamite (National Assembly: 15r/14w/2sw) is half sister to four winners out of Gr1 winner Dynamite Lady. She has a yearling colt.

Unraced (195) Jade Empress (National Assembly: 15r/14w/2sw) is full sister to three winners, incl Gr3 Irish Assembly. The full siblings have an interesting pedigree, which should go well with Captain Al. That makes the yearling colt very much one to note. He’s a first foal.

Two-year-old winner (315) Northern Debut (Northern Guest: 11r/6w) is half sister to four stakes performers, out of Gr1 racemare A Thousand Stars. The mare is dam of two multiple winners and comes with a half sister to those. Captain Al got Gr3 winner Just Like Al from this female line.

Two-year-old Gr3 winner (363) Rambo’s Love (Rambo Dancer: 1r) is full sister to Gr1 placed miler Dance All Day, and half sister to four other multiple winners. The bottom female line is Irish. On offer a yearling filly, the dam’s third foal.

Lightly raced (494) Trojan Star (Rich Man’s Gold) is a daughter of stakes winner Warrior Maid, the latter half sister to Spanish Blade, Lady Of Cadiz and Barcelona Baby. Her yearling filly has an interesting pedigree, as both sire and dam are out of mares by Complete Warrior, while the dam of Rich Man’s Gold is close kin to Complete Warrior. There’s Damascus everywhere. Very much a yearling filly to note.

The colt out of (152) Gypsy Song (Saumarez) is his dam’s first foal. The mare is half sister to ten winners, two of them stakes winners.

Stakes placed seven-time winning miler (415) Silver Special (Silvino) is half sister to Gr1 winner Garb Of Guise. The latter is by Captain Al’s sire Al Mufti, and is dam of a stakes winner. The yearling colt is his dam’s second foal.

Winning sprinter (13) Centre Court (Sportsworld: 9r/5w) is half sister to six winners, one of them dam of Gr3 winner Oochee Agent, who is by Cataloochee, a sire-son of Al Mufti (as is Captain Al). Add to that the fact that the mare is by Sportsworld, who is from the same female line as Al Mufti. The yearling is half sister to two winners and is her dam’s third foal.

Gr1 winning Champion Stayer (33) Colonial Girl (Stage Colony) is half sister to three dams of stakes horses, from a Gr1 English female line. The mare is dam of a multiple winner by Al Mufti’s half brother Wolfhound. On offer a yearling colt.

English 1400m winner (at 2) (365) Random Call (War Chant) stayed a mile and more. She’s full sister to a multiple winner in the US, and half sister to an English miler rated 102. Their dam is Argentine Gr1 winner Lignify, who is half sister to another Gr1 winner. The yearling colt on offer has an interesting pedigree, as Captain Al’s damsire Complete Warrior is close kin to Lignify’s sire Confidential Talk, and both have kin-links to Al Mufti’s dam Lassie Dear. One to note.

NEW! Carpocrates (Storm Cat)

Sold as a weanling for $2.4 million, subsequently lightly raced in sprints, winning 3 times. Full brother to Irish Gr1 placed Gr3 winner Plan, and 3-part brother to Irish Gr1 placed filly Dreamtheimpossible. Their dam Spain won the Gr1 Breeder’s Cup Distaff. Carpocrates’ first crop are yearlings.

As dam of a stakes placed 8-time winner and of another 5-time winner the mare (382) Rosebank (Al Mufti) has made her mark. She’s herself half sister to Gr2 winner Fine Things (dam of a Gr1 placed Gr3 winner). In terms of pedigree, the combination of Carpocrates with Al Mufti looks interesting. On offer is a yearling colt.

Stakes placed 5-time winner (331) Pax Americana (Melun) is dam of four winners, incl stakes winner American Emplem. This is the female line of Harry Hotspur. The yearling is a colt.

Lightly raced winning sprinter (233) Langtry (Muhtafal) is half sister to nine winners, incl Gr2 Bridal Paths and the dam of Gr1 Pick Six. The mare’s only runner to date is a winner. The yearling is a filly.

Casey Tibbs (Sadler’s Wells)

Sire of highclass graded winners of both sexes, and from an Irish black type female line. His full sister produced last year’s Epsom Oaks runner-up.

When it works, it works. That’s the case with Casey Tibbs and Gr2 placed Gr3 winner (308) Naughty Princess (Devilish Ninja: 2r/2w/2sw). They produced two full brothers, both Gr3 winners who bagged 14 races between them, here and in the USA. The yearling is a full brother to the pair.

The yearling filly out of twice winning sprinter (67) Dollar Crisis (Goldmark: 8r/7w/2sw) is a full sister to champion 3yo Big City Life, winner of four Gr1 races, and to two other winners. The sire x broodmare sire cross is also found in stakes winner Cree Lodge.
